  1. i don't know of any machines, but you could eithe have someone do it for you, or you could simply get a video capture device for your pc and connect your vcr to it

  2. http://www.honestech.com/main/vhs_to_dvd...

I use that. The picture is pretty good, it's as good as the VHS was. It doesn't make it BETTER but at least its on DVD.

  3. you can run you VCR into A DVD player/recorder. Most of the major brands are available and good. nd yes the quality is good.

  4. well you can get a dvd/vhs player (pretty much a dvd player) and i have one but i dont remember what they call them and you pop in a vhs, then a blank dvd and hit record and it records it onto a dvd, but our brand is magnavox or something like that, anyways there 50-100 dollars, so yea unless you find a cheap one, but you dont need any expensive computer software or anything.

  5. You need to buy a dvd player that also is able to convert vhs tapes onto dvds (ask for assistance if you need to know if its capable of that). the picture quality should be fine if its able to do it. They do cost upwards of $200. But they DO exist, more and more, and the price is starting to go down. My dad has one in fact.

  6. no

  7. I think you might have to get it done by someone else

  8. Yes, there are VHS to DVD converters. Check out Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. I don't know the best ones, but I browsed them in the past.

    Be prepared to pay $200+.

For everyone who says no, here's the machine that will do it:

  9. Not yet

But sony is working with that

Otherwise just buy a vhs player

    i have one
