Yes, but the chances of you being able to get a cabin on the day of sailing are very slim, especially for the more popular cruise itineraries.  First of all all cabins are sold double occupancy so you and another person would have to be at the pier waiting.  Second, cruise ships usually dock in the morning disembark all the passengers, clean the ship and then start letting new passengers on about 1:00 PM.  They finish that about an hour before departure.  So if there are going to be "no-shows" that will make a cabin available they will not know it until then.  In addition, ships require full and final payment about 30 to 45 days before the cruise and persons who book within that window generally pay a penalty.

  4. I agree with tinkertoy. You can book at the last minute, but it's a c**p shoot as far as what you get IF you get anything at all. The far better option is plan exactly what works for you and then book as far in advance as possible.HAVE FUN!!!
