Can i buy more than 2rated R tickets if i'm 17?

well, i wanna go to the movies with some girl and she is 16 but im 17, if no one is with me at the time i am buying the tickets can i buy 2?

if for any reason they don't let you...

when i was 16 and my boyfriend was 17, he would go in and buy a ticket for a later show, then we would go out to eat near the theater.  then i would take the ticket in and he would buy the other one.

I think the rule is that you have to be 17 or be accompanied by somebody who is 17.
