Can i buy open flight tickets to australia from dublin?

Myself and 2 friends are planning a year in australia for after christmas but we need open tickets in case we have to leave pre maturely for some reason! is there such a thing? thanks

i tried to do this myself and it turns out airlines dont do the open return thing anymore

you can make a booking then if you wanna change it you gotta pay a fee
