i need a cable that will connect my VCR to my computer so that i can turn my old cassettes into DVDs

is there another way to do it?

You need to have a coaxial input or RCA input in your computer in order to do it through your computer. There is another way to do it. You can purchase a DVD Recorder+VCR Combo. This device will allow you to copy DVD's to VHS, or VHS to DVD.

through computer to get dvd , u need video capture card.

standalone dvd recorder can b used as another vcr so u can copy to dvd.
