The cage I have is big enough for all three and the conure and senegal get don't have any problems together. I wanted to save room and stick my cockatiel with them but before I do that I wanted to know if it was a bad idea. Whatever your opinions are please have a reason with it.

  1. Cockatiels are so mild that they would be bullied by the others. Conures can be really mean you have to  watch them.

  2. I asked a professional this question once and she said it wasn't a good idea to cage a cockatiel with a different species other than a cockatiel. She said it just wouldn't work. They wouldnt get along. I don't know why.

  3. If the birds seem to be getting along,  sure.  Let the birds fly around outside of their cage together first to see how they like each other. Then gradually make the change.

  4. Not a good idea at all. The Conure alone will kill your Cockatiel. I tried just placing mine near to each other and it scared the heck out of me. A good rule of thumb that I learned years ago is  to never put birds together that arent from the same place. for instance, birds that are from Australia can be put together. I wouldnt try it. Even a Parakeet is capable of killing a Cockatiel.

  5. i wouldnt do that if i were you, cockatiels are big babys and cannot stand of for themselves when it comes to bigger birds, im pretty sure a conure could really hurt a cockatiel

  6. you might not want to do that just because it seems like they get along fine doesn't meen they won't turn on each other. One day you might wake up and a bird might be dead and you don't want that, now do you?
