  1. Hi,

    You would need to check with your local RTA Office to see if your allowed or not.

    Just got this off the RTA website..

    Learner drivers must:

    * Be supervised at all times by the holder of a full Australian driver licence.

    * Have L plates displayed conspicuously at the front and rear exterior of the car (or an L sign on the roof) when driving. The letter L on the plate must not be hidden.

    * Observe a maximum speed limit of 80 km/h.

    * Not tow any other vehicle.

    * Not exceed zero blood alcohol concentration ( this means you cannot drink before driving). It is also illegal to drive under the influence of drugs.

    * Not supervise another learner driver.

    * Only carry the number of passengers that can be properly seated in seats and restrained by approved seat belts or child restraints.

    * Only drive vehicles that have a seat belt fitted to the driver's position and you must wear the seat belt.

    * Not use any functions of a mobile phone including hands free devices.

  2. yer ofcourse.

    its only when u get onto Ps that u can carry only 1 after 11

  3. supers right. The only reason you cannot have passengers when on your P's is because without the supervision of an adult you are apparently that little more reckless and tend to show of more to the spunky chicky babe at the lights etc etc it does seem a little unfair but it is meant to be so that the younger generation is safer drivers than us. I personally feel its some of these golden oldies that cause just as many accidents.

  4. You are allowed but I wouldn't recommend it until your confident driving as friends and family can tend to unintentionally distract you. Obviously you can only carry the legal number of passengers for the vehicle.

    P platers in NSW are now only allowed to have one passenger under the age of 21 in their car after 11pm.
