Can i catch the viral meningitus?

my sister was in travel camp and they found out her counselor had viral meningitus im like freaking out does that mean she has it how long does it take for her to get the symptoms and am i gonna catch it?

I had viral men.  I got it from visiting a hospital.  Im not sure if it is transfered from human to human or from surfaces.  I would double up on vitamin c and sanitize everything they touched.  And if you get a headache dont wait go  doctor immediately.

Meningitis is very contagious. However, they can cause meningitis when they are passed from one person to another through food, water, or contaminated objects. These are the symptoms Fever.

Severe and persistent headache.

Stiff and painful neck, especially when trying to touch the chin to the chest.

Vomiting.

Confusion and decreased level of consciousness.

Seizures.

If you experience of these go to the hospital immediately!!! Don't mean to scare you but it could kill people.
