Can i change a rats sleeping times got stayed up all night please help

just got my rats i love them to bits but last night their next to my bed they kept rolling around and play fighting and going eek and i oculd not get to sleep so i slept on my mums floor is their anyway i ca\n change or will they get calmer todai could i change their sleeping times i couldont have rat anywhere else as its big cage and my dining room my dogs and my bros hamsters going their and fish so no room lol kitchen not big or living room so is anyway they can be awake at day and asleep an night

same i ws up all night aswell with my gerbils and there babies u have to put u with it u cant change there sleep patern or if u could it will be hard to do try keeping them up all day and c what happens

yes you can change there sleeping time but it takes ALOT of work )=

when i first got my rats it was the same.If you just take them out of there cage every 2 or 3 hours a day. there sleeping pattern will change. if you are holding them then they can't sleep right? then the will sleep through the night. please note they will still be awake at night but for a shorter period of time so hopefully you can sleep? hope this works (=

Here's the secret:

Give your room as much daylight as possible in the day.

And give them complete darkness at night.

It worked for me.

no you cant. sorry but its as simple as that, unless you are up with them every hour all day long to make sure that they never sleep you wont get them to sleep at night, best to move them to another room during the night or buy a huge cage so they will be less disruptive.

Put the rats in another room at night.  Maybe you'll have to put them in the bathtub at night.  (no water please)

Rats are nocturnal animals, so you'll be hard-pressed to change their schedule to fit yours. Since they're indoors, you could trick them into THINKING it's night earlier if you closed the blinds (or better yet, a blackout curtain) earlier and earlier each day.

I sleep with mine next to me...and yeah, their wheel and chatter IS annoying (I had 12 at one point) but I got used to it. I've had mine almost a year now.

i can sleep through my rats playing. but mine will always wait until i go to sleep. when im watching tv they are fast asleep, but as soon as i turn it off, they start charging around their cage, im sure they do it on purpose. lol. most rats are more awake at night.
