Can i change my guinea pigs names?

Question

i have had them since saturday today is wednesday and i am worried if i change their name they will go a bit mental i have 1 gingery blondie coloured one called belle and she is used to her name!

the other one is a mixed colour of browns and honey colours called biscuit she also is used to her name i need pet names if i should change the names PLEASE HELP MEEE!!

UMM yeah you can change their names, they cant understand english , they listen to your voice and recognize that they're not intelligent enough to know that even horses don't know their names they respond to a familiar voice!! ok hope that helped

I wouldn't change their name if they are used to it.  Why don't you give them a nickname?

Besides, I think Belle is a nice name for a golden guinea pig :)

Go ahead and change your pets' names as you like, but be careful not to give them too many.  For example, my dog, when we adopted her at 1.5 years, she was named Zona.  We thought this was the weirdest name ever, and decided to rename her to Zoe, which we thought was cuter.  We've had her for over four years now, and she responds to Zoe ever since.  Changing their names will not hurt them in any way, but if you confuse them by changing their name every couple of days, they might not respond to anything.

Changing their names after 3 days makes their brains explode.. Looks like you're outta luck.
