That's correct exchange booths are open 24/7.  Remember to get small notes i.e. 20's, 50's, and 100 baht notes for Taxi fare since most taxis will never had change.

Don't change a lot of money. The exchange rate at the airport tends to be very favorable. For the bank, not for you.

Exchange as much as you think you might need for the first day. Use ATM machines later on.

You can change money there 24 hours a day. You might get a better rate changing money at a bank before you leave? When I travel I try to get my money changed before I go. It's less stress and worry for me. I can figure my budget out easier also. Bring some small notes for taxi's they will always smile and say they don't have change. Have a good time.
