  1. Yes, but if it's a deep cycle battery you should only use the 2 amp slow setting.

  2. Yes,but keep checking it.

  3. Yes you can. There is a switch on the charger...6 or 12 volt. Probably 12v.

  4. If you use a regular charger be there to unplug it.

Or get a smart charger that will be smart enough to turn off or turn down the flow of voltage so the battery will not be damaged.

Or if you have a simple light timer put that on the power side and set the timer for 4 or 6 hours to turn off the charger.  Remember to check the water (distilled) and leave the caps ajar.

  5. yes.

  6. No   problem    but   get   an  automatic   charger  that   turns itself    off   (smart charger )      you   dont  want  to  cook  your batteries..........   I  use   a Vector     its   inexpensive   and  will  also  equalize  your   batteries   and   check  your  alternator

  7. Agree with nearly all here - just thought I would pass on what my father does.

When not in use he disconnects the batteries and connects a smart charger, opens the vents slightly after checking levels and leaves in on a "trickle charge" (slow charge).

He has been boating for as long as I can remember an has never had any dramas.

    Cheers

  8. yes you can

  9. Depends on what type of battery it is. If it is lead acid, then yes, a normal charger will work fine. If it is a gel type battery, then you need a gel battery charger. They make them for both types.
