Can i claim benefits for owning a pet?

Just to clarify for all the wonderfully curt people, i have a job, and used to work for housing benefit fraud investigation. I was merely looking for clarification on whether or not the PDSA still offer this. Thanks for the more useful answers :)

I think not unless you can prove that your pet is needed to help you if you are disabled in some way. I think you will find that most classes of pets are seen by the benefits office as an unnecessary mouth to feed.

That depends on the pet and upon the benefits you believe you are entitled to...?
