Can i connect a adaptor to a modem?

Adaptor = Input 240v ac 50hz ONLY output= 9v DC700ma

to a

Modem=15VAC 1.0amps

is this safe?

  1. Well, it won't work. You modem needs 15 Volts AC not 9v DC..

    Is it safe. not really its the wrong voltage as well as wrong type of voltage and could damage the modem. Besides the modem calls for a full amp and your adapter is only .7amps so there is a good chance you will melt the adapter, or at least blow its fuse!
