yes....just buy a 2 dollar splitter....but the fax line in it and in the other , the phone line...

Yes! but you will need to sign up with your local carrier to distinguish between a fax call and a voice call otherwise the fax will always pick up. The manual has more details on this...change your settings on the machine to what you handle mostly on the fax/phone.

yes you can. I have mine set up that way. and I have caller ID. I see who is calling and if it is someone I don't want to talk to I let the fax machine pick it up.
