Can i connect my xbox360 to my laptop with an ethernet cable and videotape my battles?

i have a xbox 360 and a laptop and i am trying to make a montage but i dont have a capture card and i was wondering if i could connect my 360 to my laptop with an ethernet cable and still videotape it.

  1. no but if you have a tv card you plug it in to you xbox or if its a mac you could use apple tv
