Can i connect speaker wire with a conductive metal?

i want to connect the speaker wire from the amp to a piece of metal (male end). Then it will connect to a nother piece of metal (female end) , (this will be where the connection is made) then the wire to the sub.

    It's a fairly common way to connect two wire ends so that they can be separated and re-connected.  They work very well with speaker wire.

    Another option is a bullet terminal:

    Any of these should be readily available at any hardware store.


  2. you might get that to work, but if it doesnt then u can just use bare wire, or cut the male end off and connect that wire to the speaker wire

  3. almost any wire works ive used extinction cords my self before just dont have the wire it self exposed
