  1. ask your doc~ but c sections take much longer to recover from then a vaginal birth

as far as i know you only get a c section if it is needed. but that may have changed

i used stadol when i was in labour. i choose that over a epidural worked wonders!!!

  2. I don't think a doctor will do a c-secton just because you want one. They do them when the baby is breach or when it is in trouble due to the umbilical cord or other such problems. Doctors try to avoid c-sections because you have to cut into the uterus which makes it thin and can cause you to not be able to have another baby. Also like other have said its a longer recovery time. My mom had two of them because we were both breach. I'm the youngest and she almost lost me due to her uterus being so thin. The doc said if she has another pregnancy it will risk her own life. That was when a c-section meant cutting a women from her belly button to the pubic bone. Now its a 4 inch cut horizontal to the abdomen so the your not as immobilized as women were before. You will be able to hold your baby after wards. My friend had one of these and she was sore due to stitches but was quite able to pick up and care for her baby. My mom had staples from her belly button to her pubic bone but was still able to pick me up. She had trouble getting out of bed but was quite capable of taking care of me. I don't see why you would want a c-section over vaginal birth unless you are afraid of the pain. They have drugs you can get and it really isn't that bad.

  3. Consult ur Gynaecologist.

  4. It varies with each OB. But, why would you choose a C-section over vaginal delivery? A c-section has a MUCH longer recovery time and you will have to have help at home all the time as you will not be able to lift even your baby for the first few days. If it's b/c of the pain, then there are drugs out there to help for that....hello epidural! LOL That was my best friend during labor!!

  5. that definatly sounds off

you can do either, as far as  i know

personally i would do vaginal, because depending on the amount of epidural they give you, it should hardly hurt, or moderate pain... i feel like you would have a greater connection with your baby, going through the pain for your baby,
