  1. No, that isn't deductible.


  2. No, you cannot for life insurance.  You can only deduct medical insurance and Long Term Care Insurance, and you deduct those  with other medical expenses.  And since you only get medical expenses that exceed 7.5% of your gross income, most people can't take those either.
