Can i deposit a check in someone else's bank account?

The check is under my name, but can i like sign it and then put it in a friend's account for a while?

  1. At my bank if you don't know their account number its not a problem. They will look it up for you and even fill out a depost slip for you if you don't have one already.


  2. ~~Yes you will need to do two things. Endorse the check, then write for deposit only and have your friend sign it. You would have to have their full acoount number then go inside the branch and fill out a depoist slip, then they will take the check for deposit and give you  a receipt.~~

  7. yes u can drop ur in other's account by just doing the following

    1. just draw two lines on the left top corner of the cheque n write A/c payee in between the lines.

    2. n also u have to sign back side of the cheque.....

    then it will be securely deposited in ur friend's account......
