i found some coins in the ground yesterday with my metal detector and just wanted to know if a bank will accept them even though they are dirty and discolored and some are chewed up? Thanks.

  1. money is money.

Really, you are that hard up for money that you need to deposit a few pennies into your account???

  2. Unless they're just totally unrecognizable blobs of metal, It shouldn't matter. . .it's still legal tender.   You can also take beat up bills to the bank and trade them in for new ones.

  3. Yes currency is still currency. Are they still current or older? You could probably get more on ebay or similar if they're older for collectors.

  4. send them to me so I can give you a better answer.

  5. Yes But first you need to go to the bank and ask for a paper money tube

like the ones you get when you ask to exchange dollar bills for coins! Then you package your coin in it but make sure it is the right amount and just one more notice... you cannot individually deposit coins they must have the right amount in the paper tubes! And if you want to deposit coins, the paper tubes are free at the bank but you will need to pay for them if you go to a store instead.

  6. yea go to and change converter and change it into dollar bills

    answer mine??
