Can i direct deposit my civilian pay into my armed forces checking account?

i have a temp job at a fast food place until i leave for basic. i dont have anywhere else to deposit or cash my checks. will they let me direct deposit my weekly pay into this account?

  1. I am guessing it is like a standard checking account so I would think you can however, the best thing to do is to call wherever your account is and ask them.

    Also, you may want to check with the manager where you are working to see if they have a check cashing agreement somewhere.  Many places have this kind of thing established so their employees can cash their paychecks.


  2. Normally, from what i have seen, it isn't necessarily  what type of job the money comes from, but whether or not you are eligible to be a member of that bank. I  still use my military bank, even though I am a civilian now and have never had any problem direct depositing anything.  The key is in the membership, so since you already have that, you should be fine. To be sure, I suggest you contact your bank about its rules and regulations regarding direct deposits, but again I haven't had any trouble in that area myself.
