  1. If you run a dell, restart your computer, and as its starting up when the black screen with a blue line at the top that says www.Dell.com press Ctrl+F11 at the same time, it will bring you to a screen that says restart, or restore, i suggest restoring it from there, it wipes all programs and everything except windows XP (or vista).

I'm not sure about any other computers - only done it with a Dell and HP, but the HP backed up all the files before restore, seemed kinda pointless... I don't like HPs now either ><

  2. not enough info

  3. sound like you got yourself a virus on your hands

try booting up your computer in safe mode, transfer all your key files onto a disk or alternate hardrive, then pop in a system wipe disk and reinstall all your stuff.

  4. F10 when it first comes on.

  5. Id recommend you press f8 and booting it in Safe Mode then restoring it in Safe Mode then you can normal boot it

and see if that helps since you cant see startup button ....

  6. When you first start up you computer a screen comes up before the windows screen. there it says to press one of the "F" buttons, maybe F4 to do a system restore.

  7. Yes you can try system restore.

If you are using windows xp, click on start at the bottom left of your screen, then all programs, then accesories, then system tools, then left click system restore.

  8. Here are the steps to do a system restore...that is, if your computer is set to do a restore point daily...which it should automatically be.

    go to- Start

    All programs

    accessories

    system tools

    system restore

check- restore my computer to an earlier time

    click next

there will be a little calendar on the left, click on the date you want to restore to (one or two days ago)

    click next

    click next

it will then restore your computer and automatically restart.

Also- You should run Windows Defender (free program to rid your computer of spyware) and an anti-virus program (I use AVG free edition which is the best out there) before doing the system restore.
