Can i do that? and How?

Ok, so i want to open a bank account and get a debit card, im 15, and my dad said that i have to have 3 pieces of info about me to give them, so what 3 things would i need?? my friend said that he used his library card, birth certificate and student card..could i do that?

You need to contact the bank you would like to open it at and ask them what their requirements are.  You will need an adult to be a co-owner with you - maybe you could call the bank your dad uses and ask them about an account for you.  

Every bank makes its own rules so you would have to ask the bank  you want to use exactly what they need.

I think all you need is your birth certificate and your social security number.

You need three things that prove you are who you say you are.  A birth certificate and a student ID card are great.  A library card might also work, but it helps if it is something with your photo or proving your current address.

Ask the bank teller, they will be happy to tell you what they require.  You might need to bring a parent along anyway, to verify the account or serve as a co-signor on the account.
