  1. volleybal isn't a running sport. sdo your ok. make sure you bring your inhaler alot and take it before games and practices

  2. ofcourse!

asthma can't prevent u from it.

  3. i have asthma since i was little. but after i got involved in various sports (soccer, badminton & volleyball), the attacks never came back. just do not forget to bring your inhaler or meds with you when you play - just in case.. and also i would advice you to watch what you eat. less iced water, watermelon, and everything "cold".

but, really, the only thing that can beat asthma is sports. well, that's what my doctor used to tell me. and i think i beat asthma because i am naturally active since little. lol!

  4. Volleyball is my #1 sport, totally love it. Anybody can play it if they want to, for there isnt much movement on the court. Before your warmups, maybe use your inhailer.

  5. i would have to say yes but if you feel like you are getting to hot or something ....ask the coach if you can take a break and make sure you have an inhaler with you so nothing happens......btw i love Volleyball!!!!!!

  6. YES!

I have asthma and volleyball is much better than basketball with asthma. It is an active sport, but you don';t do as much running so that helps alot. I've never had any problems with it besides conditioning! Good Luck and I hope this helps!

  7. Absoultly volleyball is not a vary active sport such as basketball and football, but you will defiently be breathing hard! So the best choice is to talk to your doctor and do a physical. Because if you play on a school team you will be required to do conditioning so get the medication and inhalers you need before you start and your physical so that the coaches know you have asthma and can be prepared.

  8. Hey--I have asthma too and I'm on the JV volleyball team!

You can do absolutely ANYTHING if you have asthma. All you have to do is to go to the doctor of course and have your inhaler on you at all times.

If possible, run in the summer but don't push yourself too hard. Build up your endurance gradually.

Take your inhaler before running or anything and then afterwards and you should be fine.

For volleyball--truly, during the matches and such it's not a lot of running at all and if you take your inhaler before, you should be fine. Just tell your coach you have asthma so she/he knows in case you have to stop or take a break.

Have fun and good luck! Having asthma shouldn't prevent you from doing ANYTHING!!
