You can download and install RealPlayer 11 from real.com which supports a Browser Record Plugin.

So when you view a video on Youtube, a 'Download this Video' button appears above the video. Click it and done.

There are other download helper softwares available as addons to Firefox and IE. But they can turn out to be spyware.

In fact, you can download YouTube videos for free in many way... but you must clear the video you download is FLV format  which can go nowhere, you need to play it with a FLV Converter.

if you want to put this video on your MP3 Player, iPod, PSP or other mobile devices. you need to convert it.

So if there is a tool can download and convert it to the right format and you can also crop or trim this video. it would be much better.

i've been there too, so i know how hard it is to find a good way.

there are several programs that will help you download a video from youtube.  the one I use is called REALPLAYER:

just go to this site : http://www.download-free-player.com



1. click on the button that says: RealPlayer Basic

Download & Information

2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on : Continue....

3. Click on FREE DOWNLOAD

4. Download everything

As soon as you finished downloading everything you can go to any site with videos on it and when you touch the video with your cursor there will appear a button that says : download this video.

When you finished downloading you can watch it as much as you want, but to put it on your I-pod you need another program ( i use Moviepod)
