Can i download xp when i have vista?

Question

i have a disc for xp, but i was wondering if it will do anything bad if i download it to my computer that has vista. im not sure why it would, but i just wanted to make sure.

it wont do anything bad but you will have boot into the xp disc and either format the vista drive or make a new partition. If you do create a new partition, installing xp AFTER vista doesn't always play nice with the boot managers tho so you may have to manually fix the boot manager to show xp in the OS list on boot after install.
