  1. I must back MrsDeli you should never drink alcohol with medications. The alcohol in your drink is low and will not likely have harm on you. However, it may just negatively effect your medications ability to work the way it should. Consult your doctor.

  2. I've never heard of .05% lager (even NA beer is in the 0.5-1.5% range) so I'm assuming you mean standard 5% ABV lager, regardless I'd say it's fine perhaps even beneficial depending on the beer in question.  I am talking about a single beer or maybe two though, getting drunk will slow your recovery.

  3. only in moderation as it is a very low alcohol content

  4. .05? I think you'd get more alcohol in your system from washing your hands w/ alcohol based hand lotion.

The concern w/ alcohol is that it speeds up the release and transfer of medication into your system, so you could get a rush of medication versus a steady, measured dose. I would bet that .05 beer isn't going to do anything, but then again I don't know if I'd take the chance. Besides, is there any near-beer that's worth drinking?

  5. that is almost alcohol free! You can drink that. It wont affect your medication but it may affect you, depending on your size, hormonal levels, what you ate etc. While on antibiotics your body will react much more severely to alcohol so you may get drunk/tipsy very very easily.

  6. It's a well known fact that any alcohol stops the effects of the anitbiotic.  That is why they say on the bottle "Do not drink alcohol while taking this medication".

  7. No problem.  You would have to drink gallons of that stuff to have any affect on yourself or the medication.

  8. It is not good to drink larger with no antibotics no matter the percentages.

  9. Whats the point?

  10. I just called my pharmacist and asked him this question ,his answer: you could drink 90 proof liquor whilst taking antibiotics ,and the "well known fact that you cant do alcohol with antibiotics because it stops the desired effect is an old wives tale ,the reason an alcohol warning is on the side of the vial,is that certain drugs should definitely not be taken with alcohol is that they are pain meds
