  1. provisional as in learners?

and 4x4 as in four wheel drive truck/suv

    then yes

if you mean a fourwheeler then no as long as its off road they cant really say or do anything about it.

  2. Yes with L plates

  3. of course you can becuase i drive one i was license when i was 16 nothing has happen yet plus that the car i took my test with and they didnt say anything

  4. Yes you can as long as there are L Plates on the vehicle..

  5. You can drive anything you want, as long as you have the appropriate 3rd party insurance cover.

  6. yup the 4WD changes nothing but then again if you have to ask you probably shouldn't

  7. A car is a car is a car.

If you are legal to drive a car then you may drive one that has four wheel drive.

    Edit.

did he tell you you cant lol?

  8. probably u could, but i wouldn't know much bc the only thing i drive is a Kawasaki zx-10R! but i learned how to drive a car too!

  9. Legally you can drive anything up to 3500kg (3.5tonnes) Maximum Authorised Mass with no more than 8 passenger seats.  In practice, you'll find it a right handful to cope with (which is why driving schools use small cars), and your b/f will find it costly to add you to his insurance (as he must).  I take it he's over 21 and has held a full licence for 3 years, which must be the case for anyone accompanying you as your "minder".

  10. you can drive anything that you can get insured on. get him to ring his insurers to see if they will add you onto the policy as a named driver. dont be upset if the company he is with wont, there are plenty out there that will. just remember your L plates.

  11. sure, and chix that drive trux are hottt!!!!!

  12. Yes

  13. You can legally drive ANY type of vehicle that falls within the class of vehicles you are licensed to drive.  A 4x4 pickup is considered the same as a passenger car.

  14. Of course you can, just remember that if it a proper 4 X 4 like a Landrover where the handbrake works on the prop shaft he won't be able to use the handbrake if you get into a bit of bother!

  15. its ok as long as he has the appropriate insurance and you have L plates! if you mean a large 4 wheel drive like a Land Cruiser or Range Rover you should use 4 L plates, I dont think its law but people wont expect a learner to be driving something like that.

  16. Yes, you can.

  17. If you are insured have L plates on display,And have a qualified driver in the front passenger seat,Yes you can.
