Can i drive a cat c vehicle to a mot test station?

i've got a cat c car an i'm gonna finish repairing it soon

i know that i can drive it to have its vic check if i have a mot and insurance

but can i drive it to have its mot?

(with insurance)

  1. the majority of poeple say yes but ultimatley if your stopped by the police its the officers decision if he/she wants to take any further action also if anything goes wrong your insurance will be invalid

  3. Yes, but you need to have it booked in at the mot station

  4. Provided the vehicle is booked in at the MOT station ( and you are not ridiculously ahead of time) you can drive to the test station. If the vehicle fails however you must leave it there for repair as driving it away constitutes an offence. You may drive it elsewhere for repairs if it is driven using trade plates.
