Can i drive after a brain mri?

im not sure if i have to get injected with anything but either way will i be able to drive myself home?!

  1. You should as long as you didn't take any medications or anything, but just to make sure you should ask your doctor cause they will  know


  2. Yeah, so long as you aren't pre-medicated with anything e.g. valium or that you're not given diphenhydramine... so long as it's a straight forward contrast enhanced MR Brain, you're safe to drive.

  3. you will be injected with an iodine based solution  (coloring) so that the scan will be able to pick up most anomalies , You should be able to drive yourself home  magnetic resonance imagery is helped by  the coloring (iodine)  it does not impair you in any way ...
