  1. you can get your learner's permit at 15 you have to have someone with a license and over the age of 21 in the front seat with you, when you turn 16 you can drive with certain restrictions

  2. If you can con your folks into sweet talking a trooper, you can get a "hardship license" at 15. There are restrictions to the hardship, for school and work only, but I managed to talk my way out of a few of those violations.

    When you turn 16 you go to a "provisional license" after you've renewed it. And at 18 you go to a "real" license when you renew it.
