  1. Even if it's legal, no company will rent you a car under the age of 21, some have a 25 limit.

Do you plan to take your own car ? I doubt your insurance company will allow it.

  2. Go to your insurance provider and get something called mexican car insurance. your regular insurance probably wont cover you down there.

  3. YOU CAN DRIVE INTO MEXICO NO PROBLEMA

YOU CAN BE 14 AND AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A LIC. YOU CAN DRIVE IN MEXICO.

YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM WILL BE COMING BACK CAUSE YOU NEED TO BE 18 TO CROSS  INTO USA ALONE.

  4. It depends on where you're going. If you're going to a small town, you don't even need a driver's license! (that doesn't mean you can go all crazy=) The government there is different than in the states. If you go to the city, as long as you have a valid drivers license, you'll be ok. The age is not much of a problem. Just make sure you drive safe. The roads overthere are not as safe as the roads in the states. All the students in Mexico drive I dont see why you wouldn't be able to do it, you're a tourist =) Have fun and be safe!

  5. Yes, it is; just as I can go to US and drive with my license.

    You can drive here.

  6. You would have to purchase Mexican car insurance too.  AND...it would definetly NOT be wise.  You are an inexperienced driver, and driving in Mexico is a real challenge.  If you were to get into an accident you would not believe the trouble you would be in.  Much wiser for you NOT to drive in Mexico.  Taxis are cheap and there is great bus service.

  7. Actually, I'm not sure.  If you (as a minor) are going to Mexico with even one, not both, of your parents, you have to have a note from the other parent saying that you may go with the other parent (in case the other parent is trying to steal you).  I would call the county you live in, they could tell you more about what's needed.

  8. Yes you can. As a tourist, Mexico honors the US drivers license, just as the US accepts the Mexican license.
