Can i duplicate nirnroot in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion?

i tried to duplicate it but it wont dupe. is it not possible to dupe it? i know you cant dupe some things but can i?

If your using the wizard chest then no you can't dup it. If your using a glitch maby a patch or something is stopping you. If your using the wizard chest ninroot cant be duped because its a quest item dont leave it in there to long or the chest resets and the items in it reset.

Yes you can, but only once.

1st part: Unlike any other ingredient, a Nirnroot will not duplicate in the enchanted chest located in the Arcane University.

2nd part: It is possible to duplicate Nirnroots with the Item duplication glitch, but it only works if you have 2 arrows exactly and one Nirnroot exactly. You will drop the Nirnroot, and it will become two. After you do this once you can never do it again.

How to use it

1) Press ~ on your keyboard to bring down the console.

2) To add the item to your inventory, type the following:

player.additem 0004E940 #

Change "#" to the number of items you want. For example to add 100 of these items do:

player.additem 0004E940 100
