I heard of several waivers for felony records, but i wonder if a theft felony conviction will suffice the waiver. The route to enlist as an officer is non-existent on my situation but i wonder with a degree from UCLA, will compensate for enlistment. Please advice, anything is much appreciated. Im young 23 yrs. old, I really want to do something with my life, i just dont want to regret 20 yrs. from now, that i didnt do anything outside my comfort zone. I dont want to be a victim of norm, no disrespect to anyone, but i think an 8-5(M-F) job/career, is not for me. Pls advice, anything is welcome.

  1. Read this.

  2. It would also help to know what your degree is in. Anything in the medical field would really help you get in and maybe going in as an officer would not be out of the question. You should be able to get the air force, definitely in the army.

  3. I suppose that anything is possible but gotta tell you that you'll wreck h**l trying to get a security clearance with a conviction in your records.  But like I said anything is possible.  The Air Force might not be your best choice though.  Perhaps the Army would be a better idea.  Good luck to you.

  4. Usually the Army is a tad more lenient on things like that, as they usually have more trouble keeping up with recruiting numbers, but the only way to know for sure is to ask an Air Force recruiter.

  5. The Air Force is a no.

You might try the Army. Enlistment standards go up and down almost constantly depanding on how bad they need people. The Army might get you in, but it would probably be in the field that they are desperate for people and not the field of your chioce.

  6. No not with the Air Force, but it can't hurt to ask a recruiter. The Army might however... maybe.

  7. Not sure on how the air force works, but most of the branches will waiver most offenses most the time, depends on your age and is you have proven yourself.talk to a recutiter and give him all the info, dont leave nothing out as far as you past your talking about,if you do have a degree and can pass a pee test and other needed test they ask then you may have a chance.they will run a background check and finger print you.be honest and they will work with you.

  8. The US Air Force has the highest standards of all the US military branches, and I'm sure they wouldn't touch you with a dirty stick.

  9. With a felony on your record, the AF will not accept you. Talk to the Army, they will waive it, but the AF will not, FOR SURE!
