  1. Taken from Australian Government's, Department of Immigration and Citizenship website;

    "If you have had any criminal convictions in any country, you may wish to consider applying for a Tourist visa (subclass 676), rather than an ETA. If arriving on an ETA with criminal convictions, you could be refused entry into Australia."

    Also on the ETA website it states:

    " Important: You may not be permitted to enter Australia unless you are in good health and have no criminal convictions."


  2. I had no problems in 1999 but I am not sure how much has changed since Sept 11.  I dont see any problems for you unless you look like Bin Laden.
