  1. Depends what country you are from. If it's not England but you have a visa to enter England then it's only valid for that country. If you are from a country that Germany requires a visa for then you should get one. If you have a UK passport you do not need a visa to visit Germany.

  2. No you can't. You need a visa if you are not US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand/Swiss/Western European/Japanese/South Korean/Israeli/Mexican/Brazilian & most other Latin American citizen. You'll get it at the German Embassy/consulate in the country of your residence. Germany has missions all over the world except a handful of African countries. If you hold a Palestinian refugee document issued from Lebanon or a Somali passport you cannot get a visa for tourist purpose.

The visa that the German mission will issue to you is a Schengen Visa which means that apart from Germany you can visit many other European countries with it (e.g. France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Greece to name a few). You can't go to Switzerland with it, though. Check www.auswaertiges-amt.de (site of the German foreign service) for locations and opening times of German missions.

  3. NO :-(

  4. All you need to "enter Germany" as you put it, is a regular passport. I am British, live here, and "entered" with a British passport.
