Can i exchange a gift card for cash from borders with out a reciept?

i got th gift card for my birthday about to months.. they didn't give me the reciept with the gift so can i??

From the Borders web site:

Can I exchange or return Borders gift cards?

No. Borders gift cards cannot be exchanged or returned.

Also, check the back of the gift card.  Companies usually list their terms and conditions on the back.  Most gift cards cannot be exchanged or returned.

The answer is no, businesses have a policy to not give cash for gift cards.
