Can i extend my long stay visa for France for 3 months while i am in france? if so where do i go in paris ?

please help. i have a 6 month long stay visa. i am based in Paris and my visa expires on the 20th of February 2008.

Where do i go and what do i need to extend it?

  2. Some long-stay visas are renewable, others aren't. So it depends on your visa category. Even if it is renewable I don't know if it can be done from France.

    You should contact your Embassy in Paris. If you are American:

    You can also ask at the Préfecture de Police de Paris, they deal with visas and resident permits:

    If you are a student, isn't there a bureau for foreign students on your campus where you could get information?
