  1. absolutely. The time to start is always changing from year to year so I would give it a go and see if your baby likes it.  I was fed solids at 4 weeks old and I never get sick healthwise + i have never had any allegies whatsoever. My son is 19 weeks old and I started him 3 weeks ago.  To start just 2-3 teaspoons of organic rice cereal or pureed pear, apple + we just introduced pumpkin and kumera.  He absolutely loves it. Your baby will let you know if he wants it or not.  Start once a day in the morning then a week later introduce lunch. I haven't introduced dinner yet. You can feed before, in the middle or after milk.  I tend to do after milk as this is still the main food.

  2. my baby is 19 weeks old aswell and last week we started to ween her, she cryed inbetween feeds and she is a very calm baby most of the time, my health visiter came round and told us to start her with fruit and veg only with rice, no meat, at this age they get all they need out if the milk so just try a very small amount of puree food, she loves rice and bananna, at this time they should just be getting to know the taste of differant food, my little girl is very happy and content again, we only give her it once a day and only a few spoonfulls, hope this has helped

  3. I wouldnt until they are 5.5 months. It can actually cause obesity (later on in life) as well as early introduction to foods can trigger severe allergies that otherwise could have been avoided. The woman who said that by 6 months she was feeding her kids hotdogs should be punched in the face. Children do NOT need that c**p in their bodies so young. even if your kids are underweight they probably have a slew of health problems like blood pressure issues... You are indeed a twit.
