  1. Hello.

Every other day , I feed all of my birds the hard boiled eggs , cut in half and serve shells and all ...I see that some birds eat the white stuff on the eggs also , some also eat the shells for calcium ...so I let them choose  what to eat on the eggs as their bodies need it . TM.

  2. Feeding from your finger can get you bit if you are not careful so use caution while doing this. Hard boiled egg is very good for a bird. You can also crush up the whole egg shell and all for them as the shell has the most calcium and nutrition in it. And birds love it, what a great treat for them and you. Try it you will see just how much they love it.

  3. first of all, birds don't eat birds. You can let him eat a shell when it is throughly mashed up, but you can't give it the actual egg. An if you want it to eat off your finger, hand train it. Just look up 'hand training for birds' on the web an you'll find tons of stuff. good luck!

  4. Hard boiled the egg is good for birds, but feed the egg yolk only. Egg yolk contains calcium that will help build the bones in the birds body and will also help condition the female before it lay its eggs. If no extra calcium is provided during breeding time, the calcium will come from the females bones to make the egg shell. This will weaken the hen.

You can crush the egg shell until its in powder form and sprinkle it on their food.

Another option is to hang a cuttle bone in the cage, this will also give them the extra calcium that they need.
