  1. Toads do not eat vegetables, their main diet consists of things that contain protein - bugs and insects.

I can almost guarantee that a wild caught toad will be too stressed to eat anyways. It's not only a drastic environment change, but it will view you as a predator. Just put it back before it dies of stress! (yes reptiles and amphibians do die of stress)

  2. nope no no no no....... crickets ggggggggggggggggg

  3. I do not know how small your toad is exactly, but I do know that it is an amphibian, and it needs a high protein diet.  This they get from eating bugs in their environment.  If you plan to keep your knew found friend, I suggest going to your local pet store and asking fora few dozen feeder crickets.  Crickets are very cheap.  I feed mine "Gut Load" cricket food, and then coat them in "Reptical" just before giving them to my pets.  The "Gut Load" and "Reptical" are very good for your toad.  Both of these are cheap and will last a long time.  Also once you have your toad on a regular diet, don't give him outside bugs.  This will help maintain his health from bacteria, and pesticides and other unwanted invaders. Especially parasites.
