Can i fight these overdraft fees?

i made a transfer online from my savings to checking. i used my bank card 8 times. for some reason the transfer never went through and i got charged 35 bucks a peice. 300 dollars they took out of my next check, i cannot afford this. and i did make the transfer. ive complained to the bank but they refuse my petitions. what can i do? can i win?

  2. This is why I don't do that electronic Transfers.

    Better to go to the bank and transfer it yourself.

    if the debits hit the bank before the Transfer was complete you have no ground to stand on.

    You should have made sure it was correct, before making the Debits.  The responsibility falls on your regardless.

  3. Unfortunately, it was your fault for not waiting for the transfers to totally go through.  I've found myself in the same situation.  If this is the first time it's happened for you (or the first time that you've tried to fight it) you should be able to get at least 1 or 2 waived.  

    When you call up the customer service center, do not blame the bank, and do not yell.  Explain that you made the MISTAKE of not waiting for confirmation of the transfers, and that you would really, really appreciate if they could help you out one time.
