Can i figure skate without taking ballet?

i used to take ballet when i was in preschool-kindergarten but i forget everything -.-

im not very flexible, i cant touch my toes. im 3 in away.

i really want to figure skate though!! not the olympics or anything. just as a hobby. but can i figure skate without any dance experience?

Yes.  No dance, and the other element - gymnastics are necessary for the basic or any program.  Dance is incorporated eventually, if you opt for testing and advancement, also the rest is learned, and you progress further in skate, still without any other sport training.

You must have skates with extraordinary ankle support, $200 and up, or buy used.  Not familiar? - just buy Jackson brand skates then, and they will be made okay, guaranteed, for as little as $40 from a club or skate & costume store.  Also, buy them in your size, not bigger.

N.O.P.E. because if you dont if you try to do tricks sometime you will fall flat on the ice and be seriously injuried also...if you dont your loss!
