Can i file bankrupty but my husband not?? most bills in my name, but some are jointly?

my husband has somewhat good credit, but mine is bad. can i file bankruptsy just on me and my bills? but can i add in 3 bills that we own with both our names?

you can but the joint accounts will not be discharged in the end since your husband is still responsible

Technically YES, but then your creditors will seek money from your husband, who will then file.  So why don't you both file together and be done.

Like a root canal, the sooner the better.

yes. But I suggest that you find a way to get around the joint properties you have with your husband because its going to cost you your husbands butt.
