Can i file for bankruptcy for living in california if i'm living in alaska?

i'm moving to alaska & i was wondering if i can file bankruptcy from there...

Ok..if I figured you question out correct, not much info here..You lived in california, moved to alaska and now want to file bankruptcy?????????????  Your debts follow you no matter where you go...if bankruptcy is your last resort to your debts, then you need to contact a qualified bankruptcy attorney in alaska to tell you what you qualify for. Best advice, get your income for the last 6 months together (pay stubs), list of all your debts, assets and last 4 years of taxes. A bk attorney after looking at all of this will tell you what you qualify for. I'm not sure what the laws are in alaska, but an attorney is the one you need to be talking to in order to get your debts taken care of. As I stated before...it should be you absolute LAST RESORT.....Good Luck!

    You may need to be a resident for 6 months, once again..an attorney will be able to tell you that based on the state.
