Can i file my taxes now?

i missed the april deadline because one of my documents was missing. can i file taxes now in july?

Yes, but you may owe interest and penalties if you had taxes due. But that won't change if you DON'T file. It'll just keep piling up.

You really should have filed for an extension.

If you have a good excuse for the missing document, call your nearest IRS office and explain your situation. They may work something out. They're not the ogres that some people imagine.

Sure, go ahead and file.  If you hava a refund coming, you'll get it and won't be penalized for filing late.  If you owe, there will be interest and penalties but that won't get better if you delay longer, they'll keep accumulating.
