Can i find Fern seeds anywhere?

while I was traveling on I80 through Pennsylvania there was lots of beautiful fern along highway in the wooded area. I am assuming they did not plant all of that. So i am trying to find seed in bulk (i am not sure if it is even available in this form). b/c i tried seaching online and found nothing. I want fern in my heavily wooded bakyard because of the shade.

Ferns are propagated from spores, not seeds.  Best to plant fern plants and let them multiply themselves.  Old fashioned ostrich fern is hardy and spreads fairly rapidly.  Good luck
