Can i find a job with my CPL and frozen ATPL ?? ( FAA ) and only 250 flying hours ?

iam going to study aviation and take the CPL and Frozen ATPL ,, with 250 flying hours , i may have the ability to work as flight instructor and increase my time to 800 hours or more ,, my question is : will i find a job with experiences above ?

note that many of the airlines have minimum requierments 1500 flying hours at least 250 of them on type ( A320 OR B737 )

  1. to the answer above who cares if it has propellers? its still a plane isn't it?

    but yes you can get a job with 250 hrs.  a lot of the regionals have dropped their requirement to just commercial multi. and to fly a "jet" those requirements are about 500 hrs now.  so you definitely have choices.  to get into the bigger planes you need a lot more than 1500 hrs.  i know for US air you need 1000 pic turbine time, which you can get as a capt on a turbo prop.


  2. one with a frozen atpl has passed the atpl exams, together with the Instrument rating, and does not have enough hours but cant qualify as he does not enough flying hours.  This is used in JAA states only...

  3. If you get a job at a regional with 250 hours, please post which one it is.  That way I'll be sure to never EVER fly on that one again.

  4. The airline equipment that you will be eligible for with 1500 hours will not be Airbus or Boeing.  You will be lucky to get any turbine powered equipment, and it will have propellers.

  5. What the h**l is a frozen ATPL?
