  1. Yes you can. In the question of "Did you file your 2007 tax return" check the box "will file". However, your school will certainly want a copy of the tax return later on. So make sure to ask your parents to file theirs as soon as possible or get an extension.

  2. Uhh... dude it's almost August. If your parents haven't filed their taxes by now, I'm sure there's a way to file your FAFSA without their tax info. Call the FAFSA people and ask them on the phone!!!! And you need to file your FAFSA asap!! It's almost August!

  3. You can finish it by selecting "will file" when it asks about your parents taxes, but the school will not issue you any money based on this answer, so you will have to give them your parents tax forms not long after you submit it.

PS: You are VERY late.... those who's financial aid is almost ready applied back in Feb/march.  It is very unlikely your financial aid will be ready in time for school to start.  Hit up your parents for the cash to pay for everything since they are holding up the process.  Handing him a bill for 20K might motivate him to do his taxes sooner rather than later.

  4. Definitely. But you will need to know their approximate income, which means you may need to ask them about their finances. Just try to be as accurate as possible with your guesses.
